'Midori's GT Sensual Pleasure' DVD is aptly named. Vivid Ed. and director Tristan Taormino round out the excellent team in this classy 'bondage 101' film. While the subject matter is rather serious, it's presented in a more low key and lighthearted manner. Midori is the featured sexuality educator. She talks to the viewer in the opening 10 minute workshop segment. Midori is articulate and has a engaging speaking style. Topics incl: communication, common fantasies, trust and safety issues, restraints, collars, tying tips, blindfolds, the importance of physical conditioning, scarves, stockings, sashes, belts, leather, plastic vs. metal handcuffs and velcro vs. metal clips. Several of her books are discreetly displayed among the play items shown during the segment. A 15 minute lesson with Midori and the first couple follows, with various types of restraints demonstrated and discussed. The lighting, sets and camera work are excellent. The last two scenes have the two attractive, enthusiastic couples engage in sexy, 'tie up, tie me down' intercourse, (with Midori's narrative sprinkled throughout) with no shortage of fellatio and cunnilingus in very interesting positions! Extras incl: Watching the two sex scenes without the narration, 'behind the scenes' footage, photo gallery and Midori's sex harness demo. This is where the camera work fell short. I needed better angled close ups to see how the scarf harness knots are tied. The couples are interesting to watch and it's apparent that it's all consensual, safe and extremely fun for them…This is a well-done spicy production especially for couples wanting to 'think out the box' and have solid mutual trust and respect.
