It's one of the most thoughtful things you can do for your lover, and the techniques are easy to learn

First, have your honey soak his or her feet for ten minutes in warm water. Including a few drops of scented oil works wonders. Peppermint perks them up, lavender relaxes. Dry the feet with towels – preferably warm from the dryer – and be sure and dry between the toes. While you're massaging one foot, keep the other in a warm towel. And ALWAYS keep the foot supported on a comfortable surface – for our purposes, we'll say the bed.

One important thing to remember: keep all the movements of foot massage slow and easy.

Like any good exercise, you always start with stretches! Apply hand or foot cream with long sensuous strokes downward from the ankles towards the toes. Then relax the foot by gently stretching it up and down in circles with one hand, while the other hand cups and supports the foot by the heel.

Lace your fingers between the toes and gently squeeze a few times. Then grasp the toes in one hand and stretch the toes up and down four or five times.

With the foot resting on the bed, and keeping one hand on the inside of the foot and one on the outside, squeeze the foot with both hands, starting at the toes and going all the way up above the ankles and back down. Then twist the foot in opposite directions, going up and down the foot.

Now you're ready for some sexy stroking! This works best when you use MORE pressure going from the toes to above the ankles and LESS pressure when going back down. Tired feet accumulate fluid, and this technique of varying the pressure helps to equalize the fluid. Use the fingers of both hands and stroke the top of the foot, and your thumbs on the bottom, all the way above the ankles and back down. Start toe massage at the base of each toe: make circular motions with your fingers on top and thumb on the bottom. Don't forget the spaces between the toes! Slide your four fingers into the spaces and slide them back and forth.

The bottom of the feet are always sensitive. Make circular motions with your thumbs up and down the foot, then from side to side. Then use your knuckles to knead the bottom of the foot.

Finish up with light strokes with your fingers on top of the foot and thumbs on the bottom. As before, start at the toes and go all the way up above the ankles.


Now do the other foot, the one that's been waiting impatiently wrapped in the warm towel! When you're finished with both feet, wipe off the lotion and get ready to be thanked in many delightful ways by your totally satisfied partner – which might include getting the same foot treatment in return!
