Evolved Croupier

A croupier in common usage is a casino employee who takes and pays out bets. It's a curious thing to name a vibrator but who cares; this thing is AMAZING! The Croupier by Evolved (one of our favorites) is a multi-speed silicone (definitely our favorite) vibrator with nothing but upside (well, except for its curious name). When we opened the box from BetterSex, Mrs. SoCo's first reaction was "Ooooh!" While she certainly got more vocal, I am not sure she got any more articulate when it came to this toy. The Croupier is a delicious hot pink with brilliant white accents which gives it a sexy playful look. The silicone gets super slick with a water-based lube and warms to body temperature quickly. The Croupier is waterproof so you can also warm it up in hot water, or cool it down in an ice bath, as well. This is a g-spot vibe, so it has a nicely curved tip which is firm and fat. Its girthy (1.75 inches in diameter) shaft is 5.5 inches long with pronounced ridges and contours for extra sensation. The variable speed motor is both powerful and super quiet, especially when inserted. The motor is located right in the tip so, while the shaft does transmit the vibrations, the focus of the vibrations is easy to control. The innovative wheel controller (like the wheel on your computer mouse) allows you to set the vibrations from a gentle deep vibration to an incredible intense vibration. I had it turned up about halfway when Mrs. SoCo went completely over the edge and was reduced to a muttering, quivering, beautiful mess. Every now and again you find something that exceeds all expectations. The Croupier is that perfect something. Enjoy!

This is a deceivingly versatile vibrator. Based on its appearance and marketing, I expected it to be solely a G-Spot vibrator, but I've used it for solo G-Spot, clitoris, and labia stimulation and I've used it on my clitoris during intercourse. I really enjoyed it every way I tried it. From a purely technical perspective, I love that it is waterproof because that expands its potential for use and makes for easy cleanup. I also love the scroll wheel control—it is simple, effective, I had no issues with it getting moved unintentionally during use, and I love that it is accessible from either side. The vibration strength was powerful, yet just slightly less than I usually prefer. The curved tip was angled quite well for targeting my G-Spot, but the shaft is just a little too flexible (glass works best for me) to apply the firm pressure on my G-Spot I need for maximum satisfaction. It is somewhat on the thick side at 1-3/4 inches in diameter and I really love that! The satiny silicone shaft feels wonderful in my hands and has just enough texture and ridges to provide some friction and thickness variation during thrusting. Overall, I was surprisingly satisfied with this item. Looking over my checklist of preferences…thick, curved, powerful, simple controls, waterproof, multi-tasking, visibly attractive, silicone, reasonably quiet…yep, they're all there.

I'm definitely in agreement on the name of this one but alas, what's in a name? The Croupier is quite splendid looking with its bright pink silicone and contrasting white control base. It's showcased nicely inside of its plastic storage box with clasp closures just begging to be taken out and played with! It's easy to install the 2 AA's required for operation by unscrewing the white base and popping them inside. The controls are about the easiest I've ever seen too. It's just a wheel affixed inside of the control base that turns. You simply turn it to turn it on and increase the intensity of the steady vibration from mild to strong. To turn it off you simply reverse this process. The Croupier is also virtually silent on all intensity levels except for high. High speed is virtually silent too if it's inserted but if not, it tends to produce a slight rattling. Not a big deal for me considering the awesome vibrations! I love the shape of the Croupier g-spot vibrator the most though. The firm yet flexible tip houses the vibrator to provide awesome g-spot stimulation! Those ridges aren't just for looks either as they provided some intensely pleasurable stimulation rubbing across my labia during thrusting. The vibrations also travel well through the silicone to provide some mild vibrations near the base. I found that if I angled the Croupier correctly, I could achieve g-spot and clitoral stimulation simultaneously. The 1.75" thickness probably won't be for everyone though. When you're finished playing, cleanup is easy because it's waterproof as well. I really love everything this g-spot vibrator has to offer and I find myself reaching for it on a regular basis! Highly recommended.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the Croupier was that it was pretty darn heavy. As a 2xAA battery taker I didn't expect it to out weigh my Rabbit, which takes four AAs. This was a bit of a turn off for me as I was looking for something lighter to add to my collection. I enjoyed the dial turn type controls but was disappointed in the range of vibrations housed inside. When I turned it on I was greeted with the typical cell phone vibration which dialed up to what I like to think of as an electric toothbrush strength because it tickles my nose just the same. Not impressive, especially when my Evolved Bullet houses the same strength vibration on one AA. I really didn't enjoy the Croupier. It's too heavy. It's very squishy, think about wearing an XL t-shirt when you're usually a small. That is what the squishyness reminds me of. There is also way too much give with this vibrator. I think that Evolved could have easily avoided this problem by having some sort of core inside. Overall this isn't something I could recommend to a friend when there are better vibrators out there for a similar price.
