Writers are special. They touch their keypads, words flood a white piece of paper or a computer screen, analogies and metaphors pour out creating windows into our soul. When we thought about this year’s Erotic Fiction Contest we realized we had a unique opportunity to filter our products in a new way – what sex toys would writers like? We conducted an Algonquin roundtable on this and here are products we think F. Scott, Ernest, Gertrude or D.H. would like:
Better Sex Video Series
Writers are natural lifelong learners about all kinds of subjects, so they would understand the value of improving their sex life. We bet research using the Better Sex Video Series with its explicit demonstrations of sex techniques and helpful hints and suggestions from sex educators would be a lot more fun than most writers’ subjects. We like the Better Sex Video Series because it gives a whole new meaning to “homework” and “research.”
Kissing Book
This is a great little book with a subtitle of “Everything you ever wanted to know about one of life’s sweetest pleasures.” Women will get why there is a whole book on kissing right off, and we only have one thing to say to our male audience: When I was working on this article, no less than five really attractive women talked to me about this book. Worth the $10 don’t you think? I now carry this book with me when I am working in Borders or B&N. I may be working on other stuff, but this little book on kissing is always with me – besides, it takes no time to read since it’s funny and has great stories and examples. One thing I am learning – and granted this has taken a few years – is anything that is this important to women is important to me, too! Our Kissing book makes a great gift for a girlfriend or partner.
Forbidden Pleasures
“Forbidden” is like a red flag in front of a bull to most writers. The more taboo a thing is, the more writers want to learn about it. And that is a good thing, because knowledge is what separates us from our hairy ancestors. The Better Sex Guide To Forbidden Pleasures video series explains some of our past sexual “taboos” such as anal sex, masturbation and “kinky” sex. As Sinclair usually does, these videos include explicit demonstrations and sex educators to help you understand and learn by doing, the best kind of learning (most fun anyway). Writers know that yesterday’s taboo is today’s mainstream and tomorrow’s ho-hum. Don’t get left out when your friend says something like, “anal sex is the new oral sex” at your next neighborhood cocktail party. Watch our Forbidden Pleasures Videos and you will know what to say, and, maybe most importantly, what to do.
Rabbit Bleu
Writers and rabbits go way back. They have a long history. There is a girl named Alice, a toad stool, an older rabbit smoking a hookah, but that is another story. This Rabbit, our new Rabbit Bleu, is one of the best values in dual stimulation Rabbit vibrators. If you are wondering what is so great about “dual stimulation” (stimulation of a woman’s g-spot and clitoris), then you’ve never experienced a ride on this kind of rabbit. Sex in the City was right: Rabbits are special and so are the explosive and powerful orgasms they create.
Liberte
Our Liberte vibrator is smooth, elegant and looks like it would be comfortable on all that Ikea you just bought. It is also a wonderful hidden gem of a vibrator with a powerful motor and an uncanny ability to stimulate new areas in a whole new way. Writers like elegant tools and Liberte is certainly no exception.
Kama Sutra & Wedge
Eastern mysticism is certainly a writer-friendly topic. Our Better Sex Guide to the Kama Sutra is a very practical guide to finding several exciting new sex positions. The challenge with any new sex position after you are past a certain age is that you may need a little help finding or holding that new position. That is why we combined our Better Sex Guide to the Kama Sutra with a Liberator wedge. See the new sex position on the video and use the Liberator wedge to assist you in enjoying it.
Other great products for writers:
Kindle Her Desire Kit (name of this one says it all). Nibbles and Bites (once again the name is enough said).
