Couples who watch sexually explicit educational videotapes experience greater sexual satisfaction according to a study conducted by Northeast Louisiana University Professor Lamar Woodham and sex therapist Constance Engel, M.S.W. Seventy-four couples participated in the study, which examined the impact of viewing erotically realistic heterosexual behaviors on marital satisfaction, sexual satisfaction, sexual arousal and sexual behaviors.
The study revealed that after viewing the Sinclair Intimacy Institute's Better Sex Video Series and The Erotic Guide to Sexual Fantasies for Lovers, at least one of the partners in a committed relationship experienced an increase in:

satisfaction with the frequency of intercourse |
More than 90 percent of the couples who watched the tapes said that viewing the tapes sparked communication about the behaviors and issues shown in the tapes. More than 65 percent of those couples felt the discussions were helpful to their sexual relationship. Eighty-four percent of women and 82 percent of men reported experiencing positive changes in foreplay, intercourse, oral sex and masturbation after viewing sexually explicit videos. |
